Three point bending and crushing test of honeycomb core sandwich panels.

The objective of the project was to measure the deflection (𝛿) of
the sandwich panel due to a given load. By knowing the deflection of the panel, the material properties in the X3 (or T) direction, namely the shear modulus of the core (𝐺𝑐) and the equivalent flexural modulus (𝐸෨𝑓𝑙𝑒𝑥) of the panel, can be calculated.

The project aims to investigate the noise reduction effect of Chevron using numerical flow simulations and compare the resulting sound pressure levels with an engine without Chevron. To generate further development solutions for the Chevron nozzle with the highest noise reduction.
