We are proud of our FEM TEam Leader László Takács, who took part in a course organized by NAFEMS (nafems.org). He gained advanced knowledge of Practical Modelling of Joints and Connections in the presentation of Tony Abbey, a world-renowned expert with 40 years of professional experience in simulation engineering.

The objective of this course is to review the various connection and joint technologies in use, give an overview of the physics involved and show how to successfully implement practical solutions using Finite Element Analysis.

NAFEMS- National Agency for Finite Element Methods and Standards

NAFEMS is an independent, non-profit organization that has served as a trusted source for sharing engineering simulation knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of innovative products and solutions since 1993. It supports companies, universities, and government organizations in product development by foreshowing engineering modeling, analysis, and comprehensive simulation trainings, as well as a wide range of educational opportunities — with a focus on product quality, development efficiency, and safety. After joining NAFEMS, the organization provides many benefits to its members – it is possible to participate in events, conferences and trainings; to obtain various certificates; the organization also has a huge database of thousands of lectures, books, webinar recordings, journal articles, professional publications which are available to the members. The technical working groups of the organization ensure the quality and topics of the educational materials, identify the areas of interest to the community, requirements for further research and analyze the opportunities for collaboration in engineering analysis and simulation. The technical working groups consist of leading engineers, academic lecturers, software vendors providing a unique insight and perspective into the problem area being scrutinized.
