As a member of the Hungarian Space Cluster (HUNSPACE), Econ Engineering made its introduction and participated in an insightful roundtable discussion with AED Cluster Portugal, the cluster for Aeronautics, Space, and Defense Industries. The Portuguese Space Workshop took place in Lisbon, focusing on possibilities of potential synergies and cooperations.
Organized by the Embassy of Hungary in Portugal, in partnership with the Portuguese Space Agency (Agencia Espacial Portuguesa) and AED Cluster Portugal, the Space Industry Workshop proved an outstanding networking opportunity for all Hungarian and Portuguese space industry players. Held on 4 December 2023, Econ Engineering was represented by our Commercial Director, Dr. Gergely Lipóczi, at the Lisbon event. The thought-provoking discussions focused on the challenges and future opportunities of the aerospace industry, as well as potential synergies and cooperation between Hungary and Portugal.
Later, Econ and other delegates of HUNSPACE, together with the Ambassador of Hungary to Portugal, Dr. Emília Fábián, paid a visit to the Guimaraes Campus of the University of Minho (Universidade do Minho) to familiarize themselves with the capabilities of its Aerospace Engineering Faculty. The delegation then visited the Portuguese company Lusospace, which specialises in space engineering solutions and consultancy. The next afternoon, Econ toured the composite specialist private association PIEP (Centre for Innovation in Polymer Engineering) to broaden its professional experience in composites.
We are grateful to have had this invitation and opportunity and look forward to future work collaborations!
