As a committed supporter of the Hungarian startup ecosystem, Econ has joined the Technocatalyst program, which aims to support local startups and help them realize their innovative ideas. An interview with Econ CEO, Gábor Kiglics, about the company’s role in the Technocatalyst program was published on Startuponline.
As one of Hungary’s leading engineering services companies, Econ Engineering feels a responsibility to promote professional innovation in Hungary, foster new ideas, help to develop the Hungarian industry and improve its competitiveness. By joining the Technocatalyst program, Econ can help the most promising Hungarian startups with its expertise, experience, and cutting-edge engineering simulation software.
Econ in the Technocatalyst programme
The Technocatalyst program aims to boost the startup ecosystem in Hungary by supporting innovative companies in the early stages. The participating companies are committed to providing Hungarian startups with the most professional support and background knowledge possible during their initial, perhaps most critical, phase. Technocatalyst is currently combining the services of three organizations in a complex program that includes project incubation, organizational development, and hardware acceleration. This way, it helps projects stuck at different stages, particularly the prototype stage, move forward.
As a supporter of the Hungarian startup ecosystem and strategic partner of the program, Econ assists startup projects with engineering services, including virtual prototyping and testing. As the official distributor of world-class simulation software Ansys and Moldex3D, Econ also offers startups the opportunity to purchase software packages at a significant discount for a year – and provides training on how to use them.
Startuponline interview with Gábor Kiglics
In light of their recent participation in the Technocatalyst program, Startuponline interviewed Gábor Kiglics, Managing Director of Econ. The interview describes Econ’s general workflow during a development process, the benefits of virtual prototyping for startups – or any company – and how it can help speed up the product development process and reduce costs. In so-called prototyping, Econ helps you develop your prototype using virtual models with direct feedback and efficiency that would be impossible offline.
“In the Technocatalyst program, in addition to contributing to the development of start-ups and helping them to spread their wings, we also ensure the long-term maintenance and preservation of the Hungarian engineering standard and culture. Looking at the big picture, our vision is to be the leading company in the national and regional ecosystem, not only implementing the ideas of multinational organizations but also small business and internal R&D ideas. With the Technocatalyst program we are taking a big step towards this.” – emphasized Gábor Kiglics in the interview.
