The simulation study competition for engineering students is organised for the second time by eCon Engineering Kft. The competition is open for engineering students from Hungary, Croatia, Serbia, Macedonia, Bosnia and Montenegro. Application with project tasks using Ansys or Moldex3D simulation software. The competition project can be based on a semester assignment, paper for Scientific Students’ Conference, Master’s thesis or PhD dissertation. The total prize of the competition is 300 thousand HUF (~€700), and the results will be announced at the XXI econ Conference in spring 2023.

Simulation softwares are being used for product development in an increasing number of industries. In addition to more efficient design, time saving and cost reduction are also significant in projects where simulation solutions are used. 

Future engineers are relying more and more on these tools, while computer-aided simulation and analysis solutions are also becoming increasingly important in engineering education.

In order to support the spread of simulation programs in education, eCon Engineering Kft. is launching a competition for engineering students at technical universities in the region.

After evaluation of the projects submitted by 15 January 2023, prizes will be awarded in spring 2023 at the 21st econ Conference.
