Econ’s Professional Simulation Conference hosted the award ceremony of the 2nd Simulation Study Competition for the second time. The first 3 winners and their consultants were invited to the prize-giving ceremony of the competition with a total prize of 300.000 HUF.
Econ held the Simulation Study Competition for the second time. Announced for the 2022/23 academic year, the engineering student competition once again attracted a large number of interesting simulation projects. For the occasion, the participants submitted simulation proposals for diploma theses, independent labs, internships, term projects, and TDK work.

The top three winners of the competition, with a total prize of 300.000 HUF, and their consultants were invited to the 21st Econ Conference. They were honored at the awards ceremony in front of an audience of 170 industry and academic experts.
The final jury of econ’s simulation software engineers announced the winner of the 2nd Simulation Study Competition. The winning project went to Gábor Koltai for his “Strength analysis of honeycomb sandwich structures”. Gábor is a student of the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at BME, his consultant was Dr. Szabolcs Jónás.
The 2nd prize went to Mihály Csányi from Óbuda University with the topic “Optimisation of the structural design of a racing car stump rack”, supported by Dr. Ildikó Molnár.
Jakab Sasvári, a student of the Faculty of Transport and Vehicle Engineering of the BME was the winner of the 3rd prize. His project was “Investigation and Development of Chevron Aeroacoustic Noise Reduction”, with Dr. Árpád Veress as supervisor.
