Our partner, Cavity Eye, organized its Injection Molding Conference “Molding the Future” in early June, where econ participated as a professional guest speaker and exhibitor.
GAMF Faculty of Neumann János University hosted the Cavity Eye Injection Molding Conference 2023 in Kecskemét. The approximately 200 participants spanned the entire field of the plastics industry. The conference covered topics that affect all market players (manufacturers, processors, raw material suppliers). Attendees were able to learn about interesting, less-known technologies and methods to become more efficient and competitive in injection molding.
After the opening ceremony, the university presented its new specialized training program (NJE START), followed by a round table discussion on the present and future of injection molding. The presentations then focused on specific technologies supporting injection molding.
Econ at Cavity Eye Injection Molding Conference
One of the founders of econ engineering, Ph.D. László Molnár was also among the speakers. In his presentation “Simulation and/or Reality”, he pointed out the importance of simulation technology in helping companies to design quality products, and reduce development costs, scrap, and time to market. In the exhibition space at the econ mini stand, our software support engineer Bálint Kiss presented the Moldex3D software, essential for injection molding simulations.
There was great interest at the conference in econ’s Moldex3D engineering simulation software. Its interactive interface not only facilitates parts and tool modeling but also provides automatic networking technology. Thus, enabling users to efficiently model and work in a CAD environment without needing special CAD skills. The 3D model can be used to visualize the flow and thermal properties and to optimize processes before physical execution.
