On May 22, 2025, our 2nd Econ Szimpulzus forum took participants on a deep dive into the world of electromagnetic field calculations. Our Budapest office meeting room was filled with engaged professionals eager to explore the theoretical foundations and industrial applications of both low- and high-frequency electromagnetic simulations.
Throughout the day, numerous industry experts shared their valuable experiences and the results of their latest development projects. Gyula Vainel from thyssenkrupp Components Technology Hungary Kft. presented the challenges arising from permanent magnet synchronous machines in electric power-assisted steering systems. Dávid Kövesi from Robert Bosch Kft. delivered a presentation on optimizing sensor magnet geometry using Maxwell’s built-in Optimization, while Sándor Horváth, representing EMODRIVEX Kft. discussed the electromagnetic design and analysis of hybrid excited synchronous motors.
In the afternoon session, Roland Kovács, an engineer from Robert Bosch Kft., spoke about the development of automated position sensors using PyAEDT. Following him, our own industry expert and university lecturer, Dániel Marcsa, Ph.D., elaborated on the role of electromagnetic field simulation in electronics development.
Econ Szimpulzus on electromagnetic simulations prioritized expanding professional knowledge and leveraging the power of personal encounters, providing participants with opportunities to deepen their understanding and build connections within the simulation community through informal discussions during breaks and at the forum’s conclusion. We believe that such forums contribute to the advancement of engineering simulation and the broader dissemination of the latest technological solutions.
We extend our sincere thanks to all presenters and participants for their expertise, time, and energy in contributing to the success of the Econ Szimpulzus! We look forward to seeing you at the autumn events of the series!
About the Econ Szimpulzus Event Series
Driven by renewal and progress, we launched a new engineering simulation event series this year called Econ Szimpulzus. Our goal is to bring together experts from both the competitive and academic spheres to jointly discuss the development projects, challenges, and solutions related to the topic areas of each event. The first Econ Szimpulzus event took place on March 20 at the Econ Engineering office building, focusing on fluid dynamics (CFD) and engineering simulation challenges related to various fluid dynamics tasks, such as particle movement or heat transport processes.
