Around 80 students, teachers, and industry professionals gathered for the Simulation Technology Day at the University of Niš in Serbia, to learn more about the industrial applications of engineering simulation and virtual prototyping with the help of Econ Engineering.
Themed “Engineering Simulation in Design”, the Simulation Professional Day was organized by Econ on May 9, 2024, at the University of Niš. In addition to students and teachers from the university, industry professionals from various companies also attended to get acquainted with the main industrial applications of engineering simulation and virtual prototyping, as well as the Ansys general finite element simulation and Moldex3D injection molding simulation software.
Event details
In the auditorium of the University’s Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, approximately 80 attendees could listen to 9 professional presentations. Econ Engineering is the official distributor of Ansys and Moldex3D simulation software in Hungary and the countries of the Adriatic region, thus including Serbia. The company’s Hungarian and Serbian software engineers presented the engineering simulation possibilities offered by Ansys and Moldex3D software in the fields of fluid dynamics, mechanics, and polymer technology to the participants. They also presented the simulation tools available, especially to the academic community, including students and universities, and an overview of Ansys products available in Serbia.
Professors at the University of Niš gave presentations on the application of Ansys software and the analysis and optimization of structural structures, while the university’s student competition team presented on the computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation of the velocity field of a flying object.
